Father and sons, one neighborhood cleaner at a time. And it all started here in Throggs Neck.
In 1964 the family opened a cleaner in Throggs Neck under the One Hour Martinizing sign. The motto back then was “Fresh as a flower in just one hour.” Most of the family worked behind that counter at one point or another.
That store is still in the family today as American Cleaners & Tailors. From there the family grew into Westchester and Connecticut, one neighborhood cleaner at a time, while this shop stayed the one everyone in the neighborhood knows.
Today Vinny Zeppieri and his two sons, Vinny Jr. and Nick, run the stores together. They keep the work the way it has always been done, by hand and by people who know the customers by name.
